Ideal time to book an appointment with a GP is 6 to 8 weeks before travel. Based on the consultation and your specific travel plans your GP will suggest the “perfect mix” of vaccines for you. NHS suggests for travellers to Russia vaccines that are recommended for life in Britain.
This includes for example MMR (measles-mumps-rubella) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, or polio. For most of the travellers a Hepatitis A vaccination is suggested.
